What makes an outfit great, in my opinion, is the details. Anyone can wear a cute dress or a sweater and a pair of boots, but it is the small details and add-ons that take an outfit to the next level.
This is kind of embarrassing, but I've had this dress since my freshman year in high school. Every time I try and get rid of it, I find another outfit it would go perfectly with. The funny thing about it is that every time I wear it, someone comments about how cute it is and asks me if it's new. I wore it not
long ago, but changing up the accessories gives it a completely new look.
I love using this ribbon as a belt because it literally ties together any outfit and the bow is the perfect amount of girly detail. For me, the belt and the dress were cute, but were seriously lacking in sparkle. So, loving my sparkles and having no self-control, I piled on two necklaces for that extra punch.
When layering necklaces, I have two secrets. One, if you want to vary in length, stick to a consistent color palette like
this. Two, if you want to vary in color, stick to a consistent length. They don't need to fall exactly the same, but the close grouping will make the varied color palette look intentional and cool. Until next time, XO
