Happy Friday! I am so excited for this weekend as I have lots of fun plans and
lots of exciting blog posts to share with y’all! As you know, I love patterns
and cheetah print is one of my favorite patterns. When this cardigan first
shopped up at J.Crew, I couldn’t have been more excited about it and knew I
needed it in my closet.
I had been
anxious to incorporated it into my wardrobe and start wearing it right away.
But, as with any other statement piece, it is very easy to overdo it and it has
taken some time to find the right pieces to pair it with.
I have
found that with a loud piece like a cheetah print cardigan, the best thing is
to pair is with simpler basics to spice them up. This tank top for example is
very nice, but so boring! Wearing it with jeans just leads to a lot of blue and
nothing really exciting. But, it is the perfect foil to my cheetah print
cardigan.
With this,
I have also found that I prefer more delicate jewelry since the print is so
loud. I love layering small necklaces so they are more interesting, but still
maintain that delicate quality. The finishing touch for this look was these
fabulous earrings I just picked up at J.Crew. Although big, they are so light,
I almost forgot I was wearing them! Until next time, XO.
