Pink Professional

Hello all! Happy Friday! Yesterday's post was slightly delayed because of a very eventful evening. Details on that coming soon! But, I still want to talk about making pink professional! As you all know, pink is one of my favorite colors, especially when it comes to my wardrobe. But just because you love something, doesn't mean you should wear it to work. Take this sequined skirt. I am obsessed with it, but there is a time and place for it. And work does not fall into either of those categories.

But pink can be made to be professional, you just have to be deliberate about it. Adding pink through your accessories is always a good first step to test the waters and see if it feels professional enough for you. Starting with a pink statement necklace or pink purse with a classically professional outfit like a suit jacket, button-up, or pencil skirt is an easy transition. You can jazz up your outfit without causing too many waves.

If you are like me, and want to step it up a notch, stick with classic work-wear shapes like pencil skirts and blouses. Then add in pink with fun patterns. For me, it is much easier to make pale pink work place appropriate than hot pink. For hot pink to work, it has to be the right outfit and it is overall more complicated.

Pale pink is a much easier option and is perfect for summer. I am obsessed with this pink gingham skirt from J.Crew. It is so fun and summery, but the cut makes it perfect for a work-place setting. For me, this outfit would be great for an interview or a business meeting because it is conservative and professional enough, but still shows off my personality. Until next time, XO
