Hello Atlanta!

Sunday, May 31, 2015

It's official, I am living in Atlanta for the next two months. We drove down here and I moved everything in this weekend. I'm a little nervous to be in the city on my own, but I am so excited! If y'all have any recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc. while I'm here please tell me! I will definitely be posting about all of my adventures, but for now, here are the highlights from the Georgia Aquarium! The aquarium was amazing. I initially was only going for my sister, but I actually really enjoyed it. They had an incredible amount of fish and it was very interesting. A must see when in Atlanta. XO

Graduation...an end and a beginning

Wednesday, May 20, 2015

I still have another year of college but many of my friends graduated this week and are moving onto bigger and brighter things. These types of moments always make me think about my own future and what I will be doing at this time next year. Although I am stressed, as I am sure everyone else is when they consider the uncertainty of the future, I am reminded that you don't have to know exactly what you are doing in the future to enjoy it or be successful. I don't know what the next year is going to bring for me, but I am excited about all of the potential it holds. Next week marks the three year anniversary of Lefty Living Life. This blog has been such an amazing, fun, and challenging adventure and I cannot wait to see what the next three years bring. Thank you so much for your continued support! XO

Maximum Stripes

Saturday, May 16, 2015

This summer is going to be very exciting as I am going to be in Atlanta for the majority of the summer. If you have any recommendations for places I should go or restaurants I should eat at, let me know! There will definitely be updates about all of my adventures while I am there. Also, can you tell that I love maxi dresses yet? They are definitely my favorite thing right now as they are just warm enough for me, but also breathable. Plus, I feel like a column of awesome whenever I wear them! Until next time XO

Me and my best friend McKenzie

Hello all! Happy Summer! Exams are finally over and I once again have time to take pictures of outfits and talk to you lovely people! As you may or may not know, the Kentucky Derby takes place every year on the first Saturday in May. My family is originally from Kentucky and since they have moved to North Carolina, they have had a party almost ever year. This tradition has become one of my favorite family things every year and this year was even more exciting because some of my friends from school were able to come! There will be new posts coming soon and I have some exciting news to tell y'all later this week! XO

Glasses: As always, from The View on Elm, Dress: My mom has recently become a part of this program called stitch fix that sends you personalized clothes every month. This dress was part of her first order and she didn't like it, but I love it! I also have a similar one from Anthropologie, Cardigan: Similar here, Necklaces: Pearls, Tassels, State, Shoes: The perfect pair of cute, but not necessarily casual sandals i.e. Jack Rogers, Purse: I got the best deal on this bag from the Anthropologie sale room so I would check there first (it's no longer online). However, this one is also very cute and shiny! Arm Candy: Bangle, Bangle, Wrap Bracelet, Cuff, Watch

Met Gala 2015

Tuesday, May 5, 2015

As I'm sure you have heard, the Met Gala was last night and with its China: Through the Looking Glass theme, there were some amazing outfits. Here are some of my favorite that I think did a good job following the theme, but are also dresses/ outfits that I liked. Do you think I left anyone out? Let me know! XO
I love the hood and Anne looks amazing

Bee Shaffer, Anna Wintour's daughter stunned in Alexander McQueen

Beyonce and Jay Z rocking the power couple.

Some other people tried sheer dresses, but Beyonce is Queen #bowdown

I love Cara's mix of body art and cut outs. It's just edgy enough!

I'm pretty sure Diane Kruger is on every best dressed list I've ever made because she always takes risk, but they are always smart ones

Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union were another beautifully dressed power couple

Finally, Gong Li. Co-chair of the Gala and stunning in this velvet and lace dress. Can I wear this one to my next Gala?
